Joseph R. Slodki, 76, of East Syracuse, passed away March 8, 2024.
Joseph was born May 14, 1947 in Johnson City, NY to Joseph C. and Margaret A. Slodki.
Joseph retired from Peter's Groceries where he was a meat cutter. An avid outdoorsman, Joseph was an excellent fisherman and hunter.
He was honored for his outstanding marksmanship when he served in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.
Joseph is survived by his mother, Margaret, his two daughters Hillery, (Christopher) Tobias, and Rebecca Slodki, son Andrew, (Julia) Slodki; two sisters, Kathleen, (Philip) Pfaffenbach and Margaret, (Stephen) Murray; three grandsons Grayson and Gavin Tobias, Karter Meagher; two granddaughters Ewelina and Azalea Slodki.
Private interment will take place at the convenience of the family.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday April 7, 2024 from 12-4pm at VFW post 9596 6996 E. Taft Road, East Syracuse, NY 13057.
