Joseph R. "Joe" LaTour, Sr.65, of Syracuse, passed away on Thursday at home with family by his side. He was born in Syracuse, and served in the US Air Force from 1968-72. He retired from the NYS Canal Corp in 2010. He was an avid bingo player and enjoyed his trips to the casinos. He was predeceased by his son Joseph, Jr.
Surviving are his wife Frances, of 33 years,2 daughters; Virginia Wright, Valerie LaTour, 6 grandchildren, along with brothers and sisters.
Calling hours will be on Sunday from 1-4pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse.
Funeral services will be held on Monday 10am at the funeral home. Burial at Woodlawn Cemetery.
