Joseph P. Reidy Sr., 81, of Camillus, passed away Friday at home with family at his side, after a brief illness. Originally from Buffalo, he was an Army veteran serving during the Korean War. Joe retired from GE after 32 years of service. He was a member of the Syracuse Moose Lodge, 625 and the Mattydale VFW.
He is survived by his loving soul mate of 57 years, Eleanor Reidy; five children, Joseph (Kathryn) Reidy Jr., Annamarie Reidy, James (Sheri) Reidy, Patricia (Thomas) Ely and Michael (Sherry) Reidy; 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; brothers, James and William Reidy; sister, Kate; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4-7PM at New Comer Funeral Home. Services will follow at 7PM.
Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to Hospice of CNY.
