Joseph M. Furcinito, 74, passed away peacefully at Crouse Hospital surrounded by his family. A lifetime resident of Syracuse, Joe was born to his late parents, Joseph and Louise (Tucci) Furcinito. Joe was a graduate of St. John the Baptist High School, attended local colleges and was a member of the US Air Force. He spent a number of years in the real estate and appraisal business.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Charlotte (Legg) Furcinito and daughters, Suzanne (Keith) Furcinito Edwards and JoAnne Furcinito. Joe adored his three grandchildren, Cherish, Destin and D'Ante who enjoyed grandpa's "war" stories. Joe is also survived by his sister, Rosemary (John) Mirabito and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A special thank you to Dr. William Berkery for his deep concern and passionate care of Joe over the past 18 years.
Calling hours will be Monday from 4-7PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Services will be Tuesday, 11AM at St. Rose of Lima Church. Entombment will follow at the North Syracuse Cemetery.
