Joseph Kuzawski, Sr., 91, of Cicero died Saturday at Sunnyside Care Center. Joe was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church where he also served as an usher and a member of the Holy Name Society. He retired from Cambridge Filter in 1984 following 27 years of service as foreman. He was a US Army veteran serving in WWII.
Surviving are his wife Theresa; a son, Joseph Kuzawski, Jr.; a step-son, Terry Moore; a step-daughter, Carolyn Cooper; three brothers, Edward, Donald and Robert Kuzawski; a sister, Irene Kuzawski; four grandchildren, Jonathon and Dustin Moore and Timothy Edwards and Kristie York; a great grand-daughter, Addison; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 8:45 am Thursday at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse and 9:30 am Thursday at Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be in Onondaga County Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4-7 pm at the funeral home, 705 N. Main St.
