Joseph Hemingway, Jr.

March 13, 1950 — March 9, 2020

Joseph C. Hemingway, Jr. 69, of Syracuse, passed away on Monday at Crouse Hospital after a short illness. He was born in Watertown on March 13, 1950 son of the late Joseph and Dorothy Hemingway, Sr. Joe retired from Lockheed Martin as a Environmental Health & Safety Specialist.

Joe loved nothing more than to be surrounded by his extra large family and friends. He shared whatever he had to all he knew. His dog Finnegan, was always at his side. There is so much sorrow in the hearts of everyone who knew him. He will be deeply missed.

Joseph is survived by his wife, Teresa of 44 years, sons, Christopher Duffy, Jeremy Hemingway, daughter, Jolene Daniels, grandchildren, Logan Duffy, Kyle Hemingway, brothers, John (Linda) Hemingway, Barry (Debbie) Hemingway, sisters, Sheila (Bub) Reynolds, Holly (Sam) Saya, Wanda (Jack) McGrath, Robin (Mitch) Jock, Kristi (Ron) LaRose, Amber (Ron) Nutting along with many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, a brother, Brian Hemingway; two sisters, Mary and Lori Hemingway.

Visitation will be on Thursday from 4- 7 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse.
