Joseph J. "Joe" Cummings, 78, formerly of Syracuse, passed away on Thursday December 14, 2023. Joseph was born in Schenectady, NY on March 29, 1945 son of the late Francis Cummings and Dorothy Greenwood. Joseph retired from Syracuse PD as a detective in 1986. Joe enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by brother, Michael (Cathy) Cummings, sister, Jan (Hamid) Aziz, aunt, Hermine Brown, along with cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was also predeceased by his brother John Greenwood and sister Karen Greenwood Ferlenda.
There will be no services.
