Joseph Beechner

Joseph C Beechner Jr., 72, of East Syracuse, passed away June 10, 2020 surrounded by his children, wife, and grandchildren.

Joe was born in Syracuse, New York on January 11th 1948 to the late Joseph C Beechner Sr. and Wanda E. Turner.

On January 23, 1970 he joined the US Army and served until November 22, 1971. He was also in the Reserve until January 22, 1976. He was awarded a National Defense Service Medal.

He married his first wife, Karen. They had 3 children together. He married his second wife Rosemarie Euson in 1989, together they had 4 beautiful daughters.

Joe was an avid sports fan "Go Steelers!", when he wasn't watching football he was playing baseball with his family. He spent most of his days caring for what mattered most, his family, supporting them by driving tractor trailers; his favorite rig was Big Red. He retired as a heavy equipment foreman for Waste Stream Environmental at 62. Spending his retirement working as an onsite park manager for Midler Meadows Mobile Home Park, as well as helping build and run a Haunted House/ Haunted Trail. He loved his family, his dogs, the outdoors, and raising hell!

He is survived by his wife Rose; one brother: Charles "Chucky" Beechner; two sister: Linda Singleton, Marjorie "Missy" Beechner; five daughters: Jessica Beechner, Kimberly (Gary) Douglas, Angela Beechner, Christina (William) Beechner, and Joanne Beechner; two sons, Frankie Beechner and Terry Beechner; 13 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents; one brother: Mark Beechner, and one son: Jeffery Joseph Beechner.

Calling hours will be from 12-2 pm on Friday, June 19th at New Comers 705 North Main Street Syracuse, NY 13212.

A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Friday, June 19th at New Comers 705 North Main Street Syracuse, NY 13212.

A celebration of life will start at 4pm on Friday, June 19th at 5101 James St East Syracuse, NY 13057.

Gathering size, within our chapels will be based on the most current NYS occupancy requirements.
Masks are required, and social distancing is to be observed inside and outside of our chapels.
