Joseph 'Joe' Horvath, 88, of Liverpool, passed away on Sunday at Crouse Hospital. He was born May 30, 1923 in St. Paul, MN son of Joseph and Mary Lazar Horvath. Joe was a Master Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force and served his country for 20 years. On May 23, 1964 he was married to Kathryn Moss in Syracuse. He was last employed at East Syracuse Chevrolet as a service writer and at one time owned and operated Horvath's Hair Stylists in N. Syracuse. Joe was a life-long member of the VFW in N. Syracuse.
Surviving are his wife Kathryn, son J. Michael (Janice), N. Syracuse, daughter Mary Ann O'Dell, Jensen Beach, FL, brother Robert of MN and two grandchildren; Jennifer and Michael.
Services will be held on Thursday 10 am at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Burial will take place in N. Syracuse Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-7pm at the funeral home.
