Jose L. Nieves, Sr., 46, formerly of Brooklyn, passed away on Tuesday surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 6, 1968 in Brooklyn and previously worked at Nojaim's Market and several years at Price Chopper in Syracuse. He enjoyed his music including Big Pun and Biggie Smalls. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Lydia.
Surviving are his 3 sons: Jose, Jr. (Brittany), Anthony (Courtney), Christopher, 2 daughters: Belicia Nieves & Makayla Nieves, 2 grandsons: Anthony, Jr. & Christopher, Jr., and his sister, Elizabeth Nieves, along with several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 2-4pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, with services to follow.
