John Zona

John Zona, 84, of Baldwinsville, NY, passed away on Tuesday October 26th at St. Luke's Health Services, Oswego NY, after a brief illness. John was born in Syracuse on November 26, 1936, the son of the late Casto and Pasqualina Zona. John retired from Lockheed Martin. He was a most authentic and compassionate husband, father and grandfather…. John was always full of life and wit. He will be remembered by family and friends for his hardy laugh, passionate opinions and commitment to family by which he led his life.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Antoinette (Toni) Zona, daughter Denise Maria Zona, and 2 grandsons: Sol Zona and Kai Martin. Surviving siblings: Angela Sinopoli, Christine Damiano and Anthony Zona as well as generations of nieces and nephews.
John was predeceased by his brother Vito Zona.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 27, at 12 noon - St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, Baldwinsville.

The family would like to thank the staff at St. Luke's for their kindness and thoughtfulness in guiding John through his final journey.
