John H. "Jack" Ziegler, 79, of Pulaski, passed away November 18, 2022. Jack was born in Manhattan, New York on February 8, 1943 to John and Gertrude Ziegler. In childhood, he and his family moved to Greene NY, where he graduated from Greene Central School District. Jack retired from Crucible Specialty Metals, after over 30 years of service where he was employed as a Manager. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time outdoors and traveling with his wife and dog Toby, partcularily out west. Montana was one of his favorites. Jack was a real history buff, specifically the Civil War and Pearl Harbor. He had a special love for animals, especially his dogs.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents John and Trudy Ziegler; son in law, Doug Glass; grandsons, Kenneth and Steven Warner; and nephew, Arthur "Pete" P. Ziegler III.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Elizabeth Haynes-Ziegler; three daughters, Nell Ziegler, Gwen (Tommy) Isbell, Paige (Dominic) Finnegan; four step daughters, Linda DeStefano, Jayne (Thomas) Doyle, Donna (Jeffrey) Vinciguerra, and Susan Haynes; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; two brothers, Arthur (Nancy) Ziegler and Donald (Marci) Ziegler; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Calling hours will be held Monday, November 28, 2022 from 4-6PM at New Comer Cremations and Funerals with a funeral service to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jack's memory to the Pulaski Community Cupboard (Food Pantry), 12 Bridge Street, Pulaski NY 13142.
