John Yager, 69, of Canastota, passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 9, 2023 at Upstate University Hospital. John was born in Syracuse on December 5, 1953 son of the late Robert and Gertrude Yager. John was a tow truck driver for many years in the Syracuse Area and was employed at Geddes Bakery in North Syracuse. Above all he loved riding his motorcycle.
He is survived by his spouse Laurie Updegrove, daughter, Hiedi L. Clookey, 3 sons, John Yager, Jacob Casey, Christopher Casey, grandchildren, Patricia Yager, Joseph Yager, Kaitlyn Clookey, Oshea Jones, Aliecia St. Dennis, Remey, Romey & Rorey, along with 8 great grandchildren.
