John "Jack" P. White Jr., 96, of Liverpool, passed away surrounded by family on March 7, 2025.
John was born in Syracuse, New York on January 2, 1929 to the late John and Margaret White. He served in Guam with the Army during WWII. After serving his country, he worked at the United Postal Service. He was an avid lover of dogs. He enjoyed watching SU sports, and playing Bingo, Horse Racing most importantly spending time at camp with his family.
He was predeceased by his wife, Sylvia McElhannon; son, John P. White, III; brothers, Robert, Richard, and Darrell White; and sister, Betty Jane Becker.
He is survived by his children, Cynthia (William) Schug, Jacqueline (Robert) Murray, Mark, Rodney (Lori), and Erica (Marc) Sullivan; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 4 great- great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service will take place for the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to Syracuse Homes and the VA Hospital.
