John C. "Jack" Whidden, 68, of Elbridge, passed away February 26, 2023. John was born in Syracuse, New York on March 2, 1954 to Richard and Joan Clark. He enlisted in the United States Army and was stationed in Hawaii as a radio operator. Jack retired from General Motors, where he was employed as an assembly worker. He was an avid camper, loved playing corn hole and spending time with friends and family. He had a special place in his heart for his four legged son Jack. In his free time, he also enjoyed spending holidays with his family. Jack had a big heart.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Joan A. (Whidden) Clark; father, Richard Clark; and two sisters, Cynthia (Dan Callas) Williams and Rochelle Clark.
Jack is survived by his daughter, Tonya (Ben) Hunt; sister, Lisa (William) Foster; two brothers, Kevin Whidden and Kenneth Clark; cat, Cupcake; Dog, Jack; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, March 2, 2023 from 10-12PM at New Comer Cremations and Funerals. Graveside services will follow at St. Mary's Mausoleum, Dewitt. Memorial contributions may be made in Jack's memory to the American Cancer Society.
