John W. Wyant

John W. Wyant, 70, of Auburn, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday at Auburn Memorial Hospital. He was born in Scipio to Ruth (Bisher) and Arnold Wyant. John served in the National Guard from 1959-1967. He worked for the UA for twenty-seven years, then fourteen years as a maintenance engineer at AMH, before retiring. John is a member of Lehigh Valley Veteran's Assoc. and the Alliance Church. He enjoyed model trains, electronics, mechanics, genealogy and his family. He would help anyone who had a need, was strong in his faith and loved the Lord.
John was predeceased by his parents, Ruth and Arnold; sisters, Carol Patterson and Barbara Ford; Barbara (Carnicelli) Wyant and Janet (Quinn-Taylor) Wyant, and a son, Brian Taylor.
He is survived by his wife of five years, Betsy; son, John J. Wyant (Patty); daughters, Brenda Morgan (Tal), Carolynn Elice (John) and Becky Mindek (Mark); six grandchildren and one great grandson; three brothers, Bob, Jake and Richard Wyant; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be Thursday, 11AM at the Auburn Alliance Church,
630 North Seward St. Auburn, NY 13021.
