John W. "Dooley" Huggins

John W. "Dooley" Huggins, 52, beloved husband of Lesa, passed away unexpectedly at Crouse Hospital ICU on Wednesday. Dooley lived his entire life in Palermo and had been previously employed at the P&C Warehouse in Syracuse for 29 years. His most recent employment was with Omega Wire in Camden for 2 years. Dooley enjoyed working with wood and built numerous items. One of his greatest joys in life, besides his wife, was helping friends and neighbors with whatever they needed and never looked for anything in return. He was a member of the Teamsters local 317 in Syracuse.
Surviving, besides the love of his life, Lesa are his parents, Willard and Mary Huggins of Palermo; mother in law, Louise (Wayne) Bogett of Central Square; father in law, Jake (Ann) Durfey of Hastings; brothers, Joe of Palermo, Tom of Clayton, NC and Paul of Palermo; sisters, Virginia Dix of Moscow, PA, Kathy (Dennis) Belden of North Syracuse, Lorena (Anthony) Perry of Taylor, PA and Tina (Brian) Trumble of Lysander; brother in law, Chris Durfey of Milton, FL; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Sadie.
As per the family's request, there will be no services.
