John E. Thompson passed away at his home on July 1st surrounded by his family. John was born September 14, 1931 in Washington, Pennsylvania.
John is survived by his wife, Barbara Barden Thompson; children, Eleanor J. Dollinger and fiancée Edward Slank of Liverpool, Gwen (Burke) and Steve Harmych of Belleville, Bradley Burke and fiancée Valerie Helms of North Syracuse, Marsha (Staiano) Burke of Syracuse and Lawrence and Venus Burke of Marathon. John was also survived by eleven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
John was a veteran of the Korean War and worked for a number of companies before owning his own business, EJT Carpet Company for many years before retiring.
Services will be private.
