John T. Paro Sr., 82, of North Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Monday with family at his side. He was born in Syracuse and was a Korean War Veteran serving in the Army. John retired from the Federal Government as a Quality Assurance Specialist with 32 years of service. He was a member of the VFW post 7290 and the American Legion Post 787. John is predeceased by his son, Thomas J. Paro in 1997.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Louise Paro; three children, Mona Paro, John T. (Vicki) Paro Jr. and Maria (Stefan) Bojko; several grand-children and great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Friday, 10 AM at St. Rose of Lima Church. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Mausoleum.
Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to Hospice of CNY and St. Jude Children's Hospital.
