John T. "Jack" Shea

John T. "Jack" Shea, 91, of Syracuse, passed away Saturday at Van Duyn Home & Hospital. Born in Syracuse, he moved to Baldwinsville at an early age and was a 1932 Graduate of Baldwinsville High School. Jack retired from General Electric in 1976 with 32 years of service. Then he volunteered with the Joint Consumer Credit Counsel as a counselor for 12 years. He was a past president of the Nocturnal Adoration Society. Jack was very active with St. Lucy's Church as a member of the Parish Council, lector at Sunday Masses, member of the School Board and brought Eucharist to the home-bound. He was also a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes.
Jack is Survived by his wife of 66 years, Adelaide M. Shea; a son, Tom (Mary) Shea; a daughter, Pat Whitman; 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.
Services will be Tuesday, 10 AM in Our Lady of Lourdes. Entombment will take place in St. Mary's Mausoleum.
