John W. Sauta

March 8, 1931 — December 12, 2016

John W. Sauta, 85, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Monday.

John served in the Navy during the Korean War.

He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Elaine (Shelley) Sauta; Children, John (Kim) Sauta, James Sauta, Jay (Barb) Sauta and Jerome (Laura) Sauta; Brothers, Jim and Charlie Sauta; Sisters, Mary Allen and Connie Coffin; 7 Grandchildren; 2 Great Grandchildren and Several Nieces and Nephews.

He is predeceased by his Mother, Mary Sauta; Father, Vincenzo Sauta; Brother, Richard Sauta; Sister, Theresa Henderson and Daughter in Law, June Sauta.

Calling hours will take place Saturday, 9-12 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse. Services to follow immediately after. Inurnment will take place in Woodlawn Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the VA Medical Center, Syracuse, NY.
