John W. Rose, 76, of Syracuse, passed away on Monday, August 9th at St. Joseph's Hospital. John was born in Syracuse on October 21, 1944 son of the late John and Eileen Rose. He joined the US Army at the age of 17 and after his military service he was employed at New Process Gear. John was a Syracuse Firefighter for 32 years, retiring in 2002.

He had a sarcastic sense of humor that sometimes only his friends could understand.
