John Patrick Roach

April 12, 1961 — November 12, 2021

John Patrick Roach Jr., 60, of Cicero, passed away on Friday, November 12th after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was a North Syracuse native who, in his youth, honorably served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Ashtabula as a machinist.

John's greatest joys were listening to rock & roll, singing, and being an avid game show aficionado. Of all- John's ultimate joy in life was relaxing at the lake with his family. He had the kindest heart, a gentle soul, and most of all treasured his beloved title of, Uncle Johnny. He loved, adored, and cherished his devoted sister Maureen, best friend & brother-in-law Damian, nephew and nieces: Patrick, Kathleen, & Brianna; and step nephews Damian & Nathanial Roberts.

He is predeceased by his two parents, John Patrick Roach & Jean Pinkowski.

John is survived by his sister, Maureen J. Roach (Damian Roberts); nephew: Patrick Sammon (Allison Sammon); and nieces Kathleen & Brianna Sammon.

A visitation will be held at New Comer Cremation & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Graveside services with burial to follow will be held at North Syracuse Cemetery on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 11:00 AM.
