John W. Randall

John Randall, 88, of DeWitt died at Crouse Hospital on January 10, 2023. John was born on July 11, 1934 in Syracuse, NY.

He was a graduate of Eastwood High School where at age 12 – he met his lifelong best friend and Wife, Julie Makowski. He received as BS Degree as a Graduate of Syracuse University's School of Management.
He retired in 1993, after 38 years of service from General Electric's Heavy Military Engineering Department.
John Served in the Air Force, Northeast Air Command during the Korean War, followed by time in the active reserve. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 3717, 191 and Fourth Degree, Monsignor Jeremiah McCarthy Assembly 0773 of North Syracuse – Holding officer positions in both organizations. He was a long time member of the assembly's Color Corp. He dedicated over fifty years of service with the Boy Scouts as a youth and adult leader, earning the St. George Religious Award, Silver Beaver and held the distinction in Onondaga District. – as Old Goat No.25.
He was a communicant of Holy Cross Church in DeWitt and served as an usher and Eucharistic server for many years.

John was predeceased by his wife of 66 years, Julianna Frances; Parents, Samuel and Evelyn Randall of Eastwood; Daughter, Mary Ellen Bardon; and Son, Paul Andrew Randall.
John is survived by his Sons, John (Tatiana Hursky) and Kevin; Daughters, Stacey (Jeffery) Sims, Diane (Joseph) Torok, and Darcy Randall; 12 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren.

Calling hours for John will be held on January 17, 2023 at Holy Cross Church in DeWitt from 10:00am to 11:00am with a Funeral Mass to follow. He will be laid to rest at St. Mary's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in John's name may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
