John R. Wright, 61, of Cicero, passed away on Sunday. He was born on November 23, 1950 in Syracuse son of Gordon and Jean Wright. John was employed at UPS, he was a member of the Empire Carpenters Union, the 174th National Guard and the Teamsters Union.
Surviving are his wife, Colleen, of 40 years, 3 sons; Kevin (Mara) Wright, Cincinnati, OH, Casey (Marlena) Wright, Cleveland, OH, Brian (Stacia) Wright, Cincinnati, OH, his father, Gordon, 5 grandchildren; Charleigh, Campbell, Jack, Elizabeth and Micah, 2 sisters; Rebecca Wright-Bilbo and Marsha Wright-Clark, along with his 2 dogs, Simon and Jake.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-7pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse. Graveside services will be held on Thursday 10am at Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay.
