John P. Aksterowicz, 70, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday. He was born February 11, 1943 to the late Stanley and Lottie Aksterowicz. He was a veteran serving in the Army from 1960-1966. John retired after 29 years with New Process Gear and enjoyed the outdoors. He was an avid SU fan and loved spending time with his family, friends and his beloved dog, Maddy. He is predeceased by his brother, Paul and sister, Sr. Marcella Aksterowicz.
He is survived by his wife of over 25 years, Linda; sons, Gregory (Bonnie), Stephen Aksterowicz and stepson David (Alexandra) George; daughters, Lisa (Mark) Cavallo, Kristy (Michael) Bagan; nine grandchildren; two brothers, Ronald and Theodore (Marianne) Aksterowicz; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be private.
