John J. Murphy, 64, of Cleveland, passed away May 5, 2024. John was born in Syracuse, New York on November 12, 1959 to John J. “Irish Jack” and Delores Murphy.
John was an avid New York Rangers fan, and coached hockey for over a decade. In his free time, he enjoyed music and was a member of the NYS Blues Fest Board. He was a very personable guy who could make a friend out of anyone he met.
He was preceded in death by father, John J. “Irish Jack” Murphy; and mother, Delores Murphy.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Sharon Murphy; two sons, Devlin Murphy and Keegan Murphy; brother, Ed (Joe-Anna) Taylor; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call on Monday, May 13, 2024 from 4:00pm - 7:00pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals - North Syracuse, 705 N. Main St, Syracuse.
