John F. Mannino Jr.

John F. Mannino Jr., 63, of Mattydale, passed away May 25, 2024 peacefully at home from a short courageous battle with cancer.
John was born in Syracuse, New York on November 19, 1960 to the late John Sr. and Carol Oakes. He was preceded in death by his brother Joseph Mannino, grandson Angelo Mannino, and granddaughters Lucy Anthony and Natalie Abert.
He is survived by his childhood sweetheart and wife of 50 years, Catherine Mannino; sons, John F. Mannino, III and Thomas Mannino; daughters, Christy (Robert) Euson and Brittany (Carlos) Justo; 21 grandchildren that were his pride and joy; along with his best friend, Ms. Juju (Juliana Euson) and his Scooby Doo (Kamren Euson); 1 great grandchild, Anthony Mannino Jr.; sisters, Mary Ann Long(Robert), Connie Munson; brothers, Mike Mannino (Dori), Patrick Oakes; he also leaves behind his beloved cat Kate.
The family also wants to recognize his two best friends Jami and Mark II and their sons Mark III, and Joey. They helped make his final days more peaceful and we appreciate their friendship more than they'll ever be able to express.
John was an avid car enthusiast who’s love of hot rods and Mopars started as a young boy. Johns love for the cars could be seen through the years with his different cars including his latest car, his 1968 Plymouth GTX. John could always be found at car shows with his friends, along with a joint in his hand. He also enjoyed spending time with his wife and camping with his family. He was spontaneous and courageous, and was always making people laugh. As most of you know, John has been restoring his 1968 Plymouth during the last year through his sickness.
The family is asking for all contributions made in his honor, to go to the restoration process of this vehicle as the family would love to finish it for him as we know John would want that.
John will be loved and missed by all. He would also say, “Don’t worry. Don’t Cry. Smoke weed and get high.”
Visitation will take place on Friday, May 31st from 4-7 PM at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, N. Syracuse.
