John Mabie West, 85 of Jordan, NY, passed away on Thursday. He was born 01/18/1930 to Carlton and Doris (Mabie) West. John loved boats, trains and Cross Lake. He had a talent for building scale tugboats and always found a spot to set up his trains. He loved sitting on his porch and watching the different boats go up and down the river.
John is survived by his 11 children, John West, Deborah West, G. Robin (Bruce) Bedell, Tammy (David) Wiecek, David (Debra) West, Conny (Kenneth) Smith, Timothy (Suki) West, Trudy West, Joseph (Amy) West, Daniel (Ellen) West, Eric (Anita) West; 23 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 5-7PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Services will follow at 7PM.
