John J. Lipovsky, 81, of Brewerton died on Saturday at St. Joseph's Hospital, due to covid. John was born on March 23, 1939 in Berwick, PA.
He served in the US Army National Guard. He taught English and Library Science at Sandy Creek High School for 20 years. He was also owner and manager of the Riverside Apts. In Brewerton. John was a member of the American Legion in Central Square and the Southshore Rod & Gun Club. John is now reunited with his canine companion, Ralph aka Bear.
John is survived by his loving wife Alice, stepchildren, Michael (Raquel) Duffy, Bonnie (Thomas) Voumard, Linda Kronk, grandchildren, Gwen, Breanna, Sean, Rachel, Kacie (Christopher), Stephen, Jr., Will, Justin (Mackenzie), great grandchild, Elijah, uncle, John Barnvinchak, aunt, Margaret Powlus, uncle, Joseph (Iris) Lipovsky.
He was predeceased by his mother Anna and his brother Charles Lipovsky.
There will be no services.

The family is eternally grateful to Dr. Brianne Aiello for the care that was given to John and that he did not die alone.
