John worked as a dairy farmer, was owner and operator of JKehrer Trucking and was a driver for B&B Lumber. He was a lifetime member of the Otisco Fire Department and served as a board member of the LaFayette Apple Festival.

He was devoted to family and friends. John was known far and wide; always helping others and could fix anything. If you needed something, he knew who you could get in contact with! John loved hauling cows to the auctions, raising chickens and turkeys and baking cookies; he was very good at it! Everyone enjoyed his homemade "cider". He also enjoyed collecting antique lanterns, M&M memorabilia and playing cards.

The family invites friends and relatives to gather on December 30th 4 to 8 pm at the Otisco Fire Department on Route 80 in Otisco, NY.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the local fire department of your choice.
