John C. Kastler, 69, of Bernhards Bay, passed away at home with family by his side. He was born March 13, 1942 in Syracuse, son of Bonitta and Fred Kastler. He retired from Crouse Hinds after 37 years. He and his wife Linda were owners of John's Bayside Inn. John was supportive of his community and church.
He is survived by his wife, Linda, children; Becky (Joe) LeBlanc, John (Cindy) Kastler, Beth (Walter) Wagner, stepchildren; Russell Howlett, Susan Simmons, Tammi Howlett, 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, brother Robert (Ann) Kastler, 4 sisters; Peggy (Stan) Kaminski, Rita (Tom) Garrett, Nancy (Bill) Brotherton and Donna (Dick) Flett.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 5-7pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday 11 am at United Church of Christ Bayberry, 215 Blackberry Rd., Liverpool.
