John J. Cullen Sr., 64, of Las Vegas died March 25th, 2010. Born in Syracuse, he was a former resident of East Syracuse and Auburn before moving to Nevada. He was a graduate of East Syracuse-Minoa High, volunteer fireman and a past chief for the East Syracuse Fire Dept for many years. He worked for Miller Brewery in Fulton and Lamps Plus Centennial in Nevada. Mr. Cullen is predeceased by his 2nd wife, Marjorie.

John is survived by his children, Tammy of East Syracuse and John Jr. (Sharon) of North Syracuse; two grandchildren, Kenneth and Mathew Cullen; future step-grandson, James Jr; sister, Pamela Matteson and niece Heidi both of Michigan; four step-sons, Jeff, David, Eric and Joseph Raichlin step-daughter, Jane Raichlin; his companion, Gina Major of Nevada; his dog, Charlie; and several other relatives and friends.

Services will be 9 a.m. Saturday April 24th, 2010 at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Warners. Calling hours will be Friday April 23rd, 2010 from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
