John R. Hartman, 71 of Clay, passed away on Friday, November, 8th at the VA Hospital, Syracuse.
Born on May 3rd, 1948 to the late Robert and Mary Hartman.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, where he contracted MS from Agent Orange. He worked for Crouse Hinds for over 40 years. He loved boating, hunting, fishing, beer and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 35, Jane; son, James Hartman; siblings, Donna (Jim) Chapman and Susan Hartman. Predeceased by his son, Jack in 2006.
Friends and family may call on Friday, November 15th from 4-6pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, N. Syracuse. Funeral Service will follow at 6pm.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to MS Resources of CNY, P.O. Box 237, E. Syrcuse, NY 13057.
