John H. Hare

July 3, 1936 — August 29, 2019

John "Jack" Henry Hare, 83, of Kirkville passed away peacefully with his family by his side at home on Thursday. Formerly of Central Square, Jack served with the Army during the Korean War, and retired from Carrier after 32 years of service. He attended the United Methodist Church of Minoa and was also a member of the VFW Post 8440 in Bridgeport. Jack enjoyed playing horseshoes and golfing; but mostly spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors: his wife of 61 ½ years, Anna Mae Johnson Hare; sons, Elbert (Colleen), Raymond (Elizabeth), Brian (Alice); daughter, Theresa (Randy); siblings, Beatrice, James, Kenneth, Jean, Joan, Shirley, Dorothy and Richard; 17 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren. He was predeased by three brothers, William, Robert and Thomas and a sister Betty.

Services: Family and friends may call from 4:00pm – 7:00pm on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at New Comer Cremations and Funerals 705 N. Main Street, N. Syracuse, with a memorial service and military honors to follow.
