John H. Barns Sr., 68, of Solvay, passed away Wednesday, at home surrounded by family and friends. John was a Vietnam Vet and a member of the American Legion Post 1276.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Barns; sons, John Jr, Scott and Shawn Barns; daughter, Sanita (Scott) Newcombe; step-son, Joshua Raymond; sisters, Margaret Khoury, Barbara Lewis and Sue Foster; brother, David Barnes; Many Grandchildren and great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Chapelside service will be Monday, 11Am at the Onon. Co. Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours.
