John A. Greacen Sr.
September 15, 1927 — June 15, 2022
John A. Greacen Sr., 94 of Cazenovia, NY, passed away on June 15th, 2022 surrounded by his loving family and is now in the arms of his beloved savior Jesus Christ.
He is predeceased by his wife, Louise Martineau Greacen and his father, John Lyle Greacen, his mother, Marion Sutfin Greacen and sister, Constance Greacen.
He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and the Korean War, and he was a member of The American Legion, Post #88. He was a member of Summit Church of Cazenovia and previously a member of Cazenovia Assembly of God and St. Peter's Episcopal Church.
Our father was an exceptional Dad, Uncle, friend and mentor to many people in his life. Later in life, our Dad's quest was to have everyone read the book of Ephesians 10 times, so that these words would resonate within them.
He leaves behind 8 children, John A. Greacen Jr. (Joanne), Nena Harrington (Barry), Neal S. Greacen (Suzanne), Claudia Schwock (Raymond), Lydia Clough (Geoff), Matthew S. Greacen, Joseph Angiulo-Greacen (Emily) and Julie Angiulo-Greacen; 25 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held at Trinity Assembly of God, 4398 NY-31, Clay, NY 13041 on Saturday, July 2nd, 2022 at 9am-10am. Funeral service will follow at 10am. Interment will be private.
