John D. Gabriel

John D. "Generous Jack" Gabriel, 86, of Cicero, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 21, 2023. He was born and raised in Auburn, NY to the late Agnes and John F. Gabriel. Jack graduated from Auburn High School and attended Georgetown University. He served 2 years in the US Army. Jack and his loving wife, Brenda spent many years in Camillus. He was the Owner and Operator of Generous Jack's for over a decade and also went on to serve as a Manufacturer's Representative for high performance auto parts for over 40 years.

Jack was an avid car and racing enthusiast. He also enjoyed boating in the Thousand Islands.

Jack was predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Brenda S. Gabriel and his grandson, Jeffrey Gabriel.

He is survived by his children, John (Suzanne Taylor) Gabriel and Michele (David Burgess) Gabriel; grandson, Tyler Gabriel; brother-in-law, Dudley Williams and other loving family.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 26th 4-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals in N. Syracuse with military honors to follow at 7pm.
