John F. Mannino, 79, of the Syracuse area, passed away peacefully with family at his side on Tuesday. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Air Force. John worked for Acme Markets as the warehouse supervisor for 32 years. He was a member of American Legion. He was predeceased by his wife, Louise and a grandson, Jason R. Long.
He is survived by eight children, Christopher (Kathy) Mannino, Mary Anne (Bob) Long, John (Kathy) Mannino Jr., Concetta (Pete) Munson, Michael (Dori) Mannino, Joseph (Lori) Mannino, Patrick (Josephine) Oakes, Michael (Shupinz) Murphy; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; three siblings, Joseph Mannino, Fred Mannino, Mary V. Malerba; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Saturday, 10 AM at St. Rose of Lima Church. Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday from 4-7PM at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse.
