John E. Milne, Jr.

John (Jack) E. Milne Jr., 54, of Syracuse, passed away on Sunday surrounded by his family. He was born April 20, 1959 in Framingham, MA. Jack was married to the love of his life, Jackie, for 24 years.
Jack loved spending time with his extended family and would never forget a birthday. He was a graduate of Liverpool High School, Class of 1978 and he served in the US Army. He loved following sports, especially the Red Sox, and he enjoyed concerts and attending Crunch games. He was a skilled bowler and proud of his 1995 Syracuse Pro-Am championship, finishing first of over 100 contestants. When he was young he was a Boy Scout and played Cornet in the Salvation Army band where he met his wife. He was employed by Rocky's News Stand in Syracuse for many years up until his recent illness.
Jack is survived by his wife Jacqueline Taylor Milne of Syracuse; his Parents John E. and Barbara C. Milne of Liverpool; sister Cynthia G. Servattalab (Medi) of Hopkinton, MA; sister Deborah J. Miller (Daniel) of Oneida, NY; brother Robert B. Milne of Adams, NY; sister-in-law Melinda Milne of Adams, NY; and sister Karyn A. Kirwan (Timothy) of Oswego, NY; many nieces and nephews; sister-in-law Wendy Hilliard and niece Lisa Purvis who helped care for him during his illness and sisters-in-law Tari Hoyt and Beverly Vorndran. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Oncology Department of St. Joseph's Hospital Syracuse, NY or St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Liverpool.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 11-1pm followed by a memorial service at the New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N Main St, North Syracuse, NY.
