John A. DiBernardo Jr., 78, of Clay, passed away Thursday at Crouse Hospital. John was a loving husband and father. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the Army. John was a member of the Beacon Baptist Church, a life member, of over 40 years and past president of the Hinsdale VFD. He was also a member of the OCVFA and FASNY and a charter member of NAVAC. John retired from the US Postal Service with over 30 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Georgia; sons, Robert and John (Cyndee); daughter, Rae Ann Fitch; Grandchildren, Michelle, David and Matthew; step grand-children, Matt and Jake; great grandchildren, Kelsey and Kailee; brother, Joseph; sister, Rose Boehem both of Pittsburgh, PA; brother and sister in law, David (Cindy) Harris of Michigan; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Tuesday, 7 PM at Beacon Baptist Church, 4800 Rte. 31, Clay, NY 13041, Pastor Watkins Officiating.
Contributions may be made to the Beacon Baptist Church.
