John D. "Pete" Rowe, 87, of Syracuse, passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital on Friday with family by his side. He was born on March 26, 1925 in Syracuse. He was a WW II Veteran serving in the US Army. He worked for Onondaga County as a Foreman. Pete was an avid Yankees Fan, SU Fan and a member of AA.
Pete was predeceased by his wife, Betty, in 2008. He is survived by 4 sons; Peter, David and Tony Rowe, John Walrath, 2 daughters; Kimberly Holmes, Terry Ferrara, several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 5-7pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse.
