John C. Monaghan Sr., of Cicero, passed away Sunday surrounded by family. John was an avid horse racing fan and enjoyed OTB. He was a friend to all animals.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Joan; his children, John C. Jr. (Amy), Kevin (Michele), and Kelly; his grandchildren, Todd, Alyssa, John C. III, Nathaniel, Kylie and Kenzie; 4 brothers; 7 sisters; many nieces, nephews and a large extended family.
A celebration of John's life will be 6:00-9:00pm on Thursday at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse.
