John F. Blum, 78 of Lafayette, passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side.
Born on September 30, 1940 to the late Benjamin Blum and Ruth Cameron.
He was a devoted farmer, loved auctions, fixing and repairing farming equipment and digging with his backhoe. He loved spending time chatting with his neighbors and family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Ellen; children, John (Karen) Blum, Jo Ann Blum and Laurie (Kevin) Suthard; grandchildren, Jesse Blum, Hannah Blum, Riley Suthard and Jackson Suthard; brother, Robert (Marylou) Blum and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Predeceased by his brothers, Russell "Bart" Blum and Benny Blum; daughter, Deborah Ann Blum.
Services will be at a later date.
