John A. Beckwith

John A Beckwith, 71, of Bridgeport, passed away on Saturday, at St. Joseph's Hospital surrounded by his family. John was born on November 11, 1949 in Rome the son of the late Arthur and Eva Beckwith.
John enjoyed fishing and in his younger years he was an avid woodworker.
John retired from Syracuse University.
John is survived by his wife, Debra Winne, daughter, Michelle (Wayne) Allen, sons, Kris (Margie) Beckwith, Patrick (Heather) Winne, James (Hope) Winne, sisters, Cindy Muldoon, Debbie Smith, brother, Raymond Smith, 12 grandchildren & 3 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Ashley Allen.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday December 9th from 2-5pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse.
Gathering size within our chapels will be based on the most current NYS occupancy requirements. Masks are required and social distancing is to be observed inside and outside of our chapels.
