John A. Doherty, 83, of North Syracuse, died on Tuesday at home after a brief illness.
He was a longtime GE Employee and was a volunteer driver for the American Red Cross.
John is survived by his wife of 53 years, Auriol; a daughter, Elizabeth; sons, John and David; and granddaughter, Heather Doherty.
At John's request, there will be no calling hours or service.
