Joanne M. Pike, 71, of Syracuse, NY, passed away peacefully at Francis House on Monday.
Joanne retired from Liverpool School District. She was an avid Yankee's and SU fan and she loved her Irish heritage.
She is preceded in death by her Mother, Marion Boyle; Father, William Strauss and Brother, Thomas Strauss.
Surviving family includes,
loving Husband of over 50 years, Richard Pike; Daughters, Lindsay (Kenny) Mathes and Michelle (Douglas) Obrist; 5 grandchildren, Amanda (Tom), Christopher, Sara, Jacob and Joshua; brothers, Peter (Fran) Strauss and William (Theresa) Strauss as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 5 to 7 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse. A memorial service will follow.
The family would like to thank the staff at Francis House for their outstanding care and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Francis House.
