Joanne Messinger, 74, of North Syracuse, passed away on Monday at her home. She was born in Syracuse on July 6, 1945 daughter of Alexander and Mary Skarupa.
She was a member of St. Mary's Church in Minoa and the Kirkville Fire Dept. Ladies Auxilliary. Joanne cherished her time spent with family and friends. She was a loving mother and will be greatly missed.
She was predeceased by her loving fiancée Ed Sorci.
Joanne is survived by her daughters, Teresa A. (Mickey) Dolson of East Syracuse, Andrea Messinger of Syracuse, grandchildren, Corey, Justina, brothers, Donald Skarupa, David Skarupa, along with nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4-6pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, NY, with a service at 6pm.
Burial Friday 10AM St Patrick's Cemetery Chittenango
