Joanne L. Wingerter
March 27, 1935 — August 9, 2016
Joanne L. Wingerter, 81, of Camillus, passed away on Tuesday at Van Duyn Nursing Home after a long battle with Alzheimer's.
She was a member of the St. Alban's Church. She was employed at General Electric retiring in 1989. Joanne enjoyed going to church, exercising, especially walking with the YMCA Folk March Group, in which she was an active member for over 30 years. Most of all she enjoyed gardening and traveling.
Joanne is survived by her husband, Charles, of 60 years, children, Patricia (Frederick) Kalil, Teri Auwae, Curtis Wingerter, William Wingerter, II, Heidi (Jay) Taskey, 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday from 1-2pm at St. Alban's Church, 1308 Meadowbrook Dr., Syracuse, with services to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
