JoAnne Galoni, 75, passed away April 10, 2020 at Crouse Irving Hospital of Covid-19.
She was born in Carbondale PA, and lived in Syracuse NY and Camillus. She had been employed at St. Joseph's Hospital for over 30 years prior to retirement. JoAnne loved the outdoors in all its splendor. Fishing and camping were her loves or anytime she could be outside. She was what one would call an animal whisperer. Any kind of animal would come to her and want to stay with her, even the neighbors pets. She couldn't get enough love from them.
Surviving to cherish JoAnne's memory is Sharon Haresky, friend and partner in crime of 41 years. Also surviving, JoAnne's sister, Pearena Galoni Hubal, Thompson PA; nephew, George Hubal, Thompson PA; nieces, Mary Hubal, Ruther Glen, VA, Lisa Hubal Winner, Thompson, PA, Carol Hubal Bartley, Henderson, NV; brother, Nick Galoni, Cato, NY; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, and a brother, Joe Galoni.
There will be no funeral. There will be a memorial service as soon as gatherings are permitted at the Vineyard Church in Lakeland NY.
